One of the biggest problems our world faces is insufficient housing. As Americans this usually is not something we may concern ourselves with this problem because of the government assistance that our country offers. But in places such as sub- Saharan Africa as much as 70 percent of the urban housing is of poor quality and not in compliance with local regulations, in South Asia it is 50 percent, and 25 percent in Latin America and the Caribbean. Also, by the year 2030 about 40 percent of the world’s population, will need access to housing.
